ELEGANT  SQUASH  BLOSSOM

I think this to be, an exceptional example- a paradigm of what a  “Squash Blossom Necklace” could be, as a piece of fine jewelry. I am not sure of the age but estimate it to be 1940 or earlier, any later than this- no one is likely to spend the time to make one like this, when the larger ones were selling so well. This was most likely made by a woman, for a woman.   There is no closure-only the “Old Style.”   The stones are outstanding blue turquoise, each stone has a solid Bezel, made for the stone. The work is fine quality and very labor intensive. Very desirable, to wear or collect.
